Of course, nobody buys a car designed to carry guns anymore. The social outcry would be huge, and you would lose all your Instagram clout. However, this shooting brake concept is created for recreation, enjoying nature in a sustainable way.
The first thing that strikes you about Joseph Robinson's creation is how well it flows. Long, curving lines seem to go from one end to the other. The front end doesn't look like any Bentley we've seen, yet anchors itself to the past with round headlights.
Meanwhile, the body resembles Aston's visionary Lagonda concept, and the two have electricity in common. Keeping the coachbuilding theme alive, Joseph envisions the platform as a kind of electric skateboard that different bodies can ride.
The rear of the shooting brake opens up to what the designer calls a "loveseat" where the passengers can enjoy the view without leaving the vehicle. It sounds a little naughty, not that there's anything wrong with that. And you can still have plenty of luggage in the front, since there's no large motor over there.
"What is the future of bespoke? While Mulliner can provide Bentley's customers with the ability to further personalize their vehicle, it is still a long stretch from the brand's renowned history with coachbuilding. With electric skateboard platforms, different cabins can be applied to best suit any unique buyer's lifestyle," the artist says in his Behance post.
Besides the touring version, the chassis is supposed to have a module for fly fishing, a coupe body, and even a crossover.
