2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 Sedan And Wagon Refreshed To Impress

Inside, the same improvements found on the non-AMG E-Class models are found here. These include a new MBUX infotainment system with two 12.3-inch screens and a new three-spoke AMG Performance steering wheel with haptic controls. The AMG seats are wrapped in exclusive Nappa leather and additional Nappa leather covers the dashboard and beltlines. An interior color option of Black/Titanium Grey with yellow contrast stitching is a new addition for 2021.

The US will only receive the E63 S model, which continues to be powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine. It produces the 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, which goes out to 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive through a nine-speed automatic. There is no mild-hybrid system yet but the engine can shut down four-cylinders to save on fuel. Mercedes says the E63 sedan takes just 3.3 seconds to hit 60 mph while the wagon takes 3.4 seconds. The sedan tops out at 186 mph while the sedan is slightly slower at 180 mph. By putting the car into Race Mode and turning off the ESP, the E63 can become a purely rear-wheel-drive vehicle for some good old fashioned smokey burnouts.
