BMW 4-Series coupe, Acura MDX Type S, Toyota hot hatch: Today's Car News

BMW has redesigned the 4-Series and the looks are somewhat polarizing, to say the least. Otherwise, the car is a solid design, and BMW has added numerous unique touches to ensure it doesn't just feel like a 3-Series with two fewer doors.

Acura has just unveiled a new TLX Type S, but the brand resurgence looks set to continue with at least two more Type S performance offerings on the way. One of these will be based on the redesigned MDX mid-size crossover SUV due next year.

Toyota is bringing a hot hatch to the United States, and it will most likely be Corolla-based. The jury is still out how much power the car will bring but over 250 horsepower could be possible based on recent comments made by a Toyota engineer.
