Dodge Charger SUV Rendering Looks Like the Next Caliber

Dodge is a super-cool American brand, but it doesn't have that many models. There's the Charger and Challenger, muscular machines for the masses, as well as the Durango crossover. The Journey and Grand Caravan don't really count since they're pretty outdated.

More cars are probably a bad idea, or at least one that the company bosses are unlikely to approve after the Dart fiasco. But crossover vehicles might sell really well, even though there's some overlap with sister brands, especially Jeep and its Compass, Renegade and Cherokee.

Over the years, Dodge did make a few smaller cars or crossovers. One obvious example of this is the Caliber from the 2000s. There's also the Nitro, which some say is one of the ugliest crossovers of all time.

For whatever reason, South American rendering artist Kleber Silva decided to turn the Dodge Charger into a mini crossover. His little monster has got the iconic face of a muscle sedan with angry LEDs plastered all over what looks like the body of a Fiat 500X. It's even more interesting from the back, where we see the cool, wrap-around taillights being added.

Now, the artist also made something he called the Fiat 124 Abarth SUV. This time, the abomination face-swaps the "Fiata" roadster onto what looks like a French Citroen crossover. Strangely, it all makes sense, and ties in with the Lancia SUV rendering we showed you earlier.

You see, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles isn't happy with just the brands it has right now and has begun to partner up with PSA, otherwise known as Peugeot and Citroen. Now, most of this probably has to do with the Chinese market, where all these companies sell so many cars, but both Europe and America enjoy a good compact crossover.

We know that Fiat, for example, wants to replace the 500X and 500L with a new model called the 500XL, which is supposed to be bigger and more practical. That just there sounds like a Dodge Caliber to me.
