Off-Road Plus - another trickle-down from the Jeep Gladiator lineup - will also land in the 2021 Wrangler, allowing drivers to engage the rear locker and tailor the throttle, shift points, and traction control to suit higher speed off-road driving - not just low-speed rock crawling.
And finally, from 2021, the Jeep Wrangler Sahara's Selec-Trac transfer case will be available on Sport models, too, while the Rubicon will inherit the more heavy-duty Rock-Trac transfer case. Both are full-time 4WD systems that can automatically engage and disengage the front axle to suit the conditions.
Apart from the 4xe hybrid, none of the Wrangler's 2021-model-year changes are especially earth-shattering, but they help keep an already-solid off-roader relevant as the segment gains an all-new heavy-hitter.
