One of the first steps was hiring the right people, specifically those who previously worked on Tesla's Supercharging network. One such hire, which happened in March, is Carrington Bradley, who worked at Tesla for seven years serving as a manager in the charging program. He's now Rivian's senior manager of charging development.
Another expert Rivian poached from Tesla is Sara Eslinger, who also worked for Lyft. As for the network itself, it'll differ from Tesla's in that it will be rolled out in off-roading locations, such as national parks and RV parks.
