The M5 has appeared in wagon form before, with classics such as the mouthwatering e34 M5 being our favorite, and who can ever forget the insane E61 wagon, powered by that glorious V10 engine, but the current generation car won't be made available in this body style any time soon. Markus Flasch, head of BMW's motorsport-bred M division said last year that the F90 M5 would never be made into a wagon.
"Touring estates are not part of our M plan. If I asked customers in Austria, Switzerland or Germany they would probably give it the thumbs-up, but we are a global company and we have so many things to deal with on the powertrain side that we don't go into products like this. This is what the SUVs are for." he said.
